Firstly, I want to say that it’s a tremendous honour for me to write about the Project Marketing Training by Shifu Colin.
Colin is recognized as the undisputed #1 trainer in Singapore but to me, he is the best in the world for turning resale agents and rookies into top notch sales professionals that are seeing the kind of results no one can possibly imagine.
Amazingly, since Colin started teaching and coaching his techniques in 2002, no real estate agency coached in joint marketing have ever lost or been outsold. It’s a record that has stood since 2002 with the last recorded coaching was when Colin trained and coached the team from ERA to resoundingly outsell it’s opposite number and they had to come from behind!
His trainees are the best producers in all the major organizations including many from my team; the No.1 Division of Huttons. In one particular new launch, Hutton’s team consisting many of my agents and many of Colin’s student shocked the other very established agency when we raced to 30-40 units sold while that agency was still stuck in single digit.

Colin is also credited with bringing the agents out to the buyers; way before the preview or launch of a new development. He used to tell us not to wait in the showroom and I can remember him saying “It does not matter whether you are a new bird or an old bird, as long as you can catch the worm. you’re a good bird!”
He showed me and many agents how to become closers in the showroom as well as in resale. Today, I’m proud to be classified along with many of his trainees as one of Colin’s “Assassin” or “Sniper” with a closing rate of close to one is to one.
Colin made us realised that nobody would waste their Saturdays and Sundays or take time off from work to go to the showroom if they were not genuine. Before that, like other agents, we would also blame the buyers for wasting our time when they didn’t buy because we thought they were not genuine.
Today many of Colin’s students are the top agents that close more new development deals than anyone and many of them can close more deals individually in a new launch than ten others combined! I honestly believe that 10 of Colin’s top trainees can outsell 100 agents not trained by Colin and that is not an exaggeration!
Many of my agents trained by Colin earns over $30,000 monthly with a number earning in excess of $100,000 monthly! Before Colin, no one can imagine that anyone in project marketing can earn so much!
It’s a pity not enough developers see the importance of ensuring that agencies make it compulsory to have their agents trained by Colin Tan before a launch; otherwise, they would be able to sell their properties at a higher price and also sell them out faster therefore saving marketing cost or prolonged A & P!
